Curriculum Intent
Geography helps us make sense of our world. It deepens our understanding of the contemporary issues facing the planet and encourages us to consider our own place within it. The subject explores the vital connections between people and the physical environment, allowing pupils to see how human and natural systems interact.
In Geography, we study themes such as inequality, sustainability, population change, and the significance of the natural world. Through this, pupils learn to appreciate the complexity of global challenges and develop the knowledge and skills needed to engage in meaningful conversations as responsible global citizens.
Most importantly, Geography empowers pupils to understand their role in shaping a better future and inspires them to make a positive difference in the world.
