Dear Parenr/Carer
A very warm welcome back to everyone involved in our school community. I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer and it has been wonderful to welcome your children back to school. Thank you for sending them to school fully prepared and ready to learn. Already there is a very real sense of purpose in school and the atmosphere as always is very much one of learning and achievement. Speaking to pupils in assembly and also dropping in to lessons you can see that everyone is well prepared and ready for another successful school year here at St Edmund Campion. We spent time last week during tutor time getting pupils well prepared and thinking about their learning journey over the year and how they are going to get to where they need to be.
A special welcome to all our new year 7 parents (and any new year 12 parents) and I hope you are all very proud of how your children have started their time here at St Edmund Campion. Your children have done extremely well and already we can see so much potential there!
We held our open evening on Tuesday which was an absolutely fantastic occasion. It was lovely to hear so many positive comments about our staff and pupils from our prospective parents. It was a very busy event and thank you to those of you who came. If you have any further questions then please do contact us via the enquiry@stedcamp.bham.sch.uk email address.
We also held an information evening yesterday for our new year 7 parents which was very well attended. Thank you to all those who came and I hope you found it a very informative evening.
A special thank you to all the staff involved in all of these evenings and activities. They really do go the extra mile for the children here at Campion. I will leave you with this Jesuit prayer for the start of the new year.
Kind Regards
Mr Grant
Father,
you call us together at the beginning of
this new school year.
We ask you to send your spirit upon us that,
as the days and terms unfold,
we may be always mindful of your
presence
and alert to opportunities to see and serve
you in those around us.
We pray that we may teach well by the
example of our own lives,
by our knowledge and love of learning,
by our gentleness and care of the pupils
entrusted to us.
In all that we do and say,
we pray that, in building up the
community of our school,
we may contribute to the betterment of
society
and to the Kingdom of your Son, Jesus
Christ,
for your greater glory. Amen.
